Nigerian Government Meets KPMG Executives to Address Concerns Over New Tax Law Implementation

The Nigerian government, represented by Dr. Zaach Adedeji of the NRS, engaged in discussions with KPMG executives in Abuja to resolve issues surrounding the new tax law implementation.

KPMG expressed concerns over aspects of the law, including taxation on share dividends and foreign exchange deductions, warning of potential flaws that could deter investments. However, the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reform Committee, led by Taiwo Oyedele, attributed the concerns to misunderstandings rather than policy errors, urging a review of the law for clarity.
