Catholic Priest Dies on Altar in Delta State Tragedy

Reverend Father Stephen Chukwuma, a parish priest in Delta State, collapsed and died while delivering a homily on New Year's Eve. The Catholic Diocese of Issele-Uku confirmed his passing and announced burial arrangements.

The incident was reminiscent of a similar tragedy in Cameroon involving Reverend Father Jude. Chidi Odinkalu, former NHRC chairman, witnessed the event.

Another priest, Reverend Father Anthony, also faced a similar fate in Awka. The Catholic community mourns the loss of these dedicated priests.
