New Zealand Sets Key Steps for Talent Work Visa Holders

The New Zealand immigration authority has specified three critical steps for individuals holding the Talent (Arts, Culture and Sports) Work Visa after their visa is granted. Firstly, visa holders must arrive in New Zealand within three months of their visa approval, as failing to do so may affect their eligibility for entry.

Secondly, all travelers must complete a New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD) prior to boarding, which collects information related to travel, customs, immigration, and biosecurity. The timing for submission varies: air travelers can fill it out 24 hours before departure, while sea travelers can do so 24 hours before their vessel leaves its last overseas port.

Lastly, visa holders with a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) can indicate their application for a visa on arrival within the declaration. It is important to note that receiving a visa does not guarantee entry, as immigration officials can refuse entry based on specific criteria, including changes in circumstances or failure to provide biometric information.
