Neymar Returns to Brazil Squad for 2023 World Cup

Neymar has been included in Brazil's 26-man squad for the 2023 World Cup, marking his return to the national team after nearly three years. Coach Carlo Ancelotti announced Neymar's selection during a gala ceremony in Rio de Janeiro, which was met with loud cheers.

Neymar, Brazil's all-time leading goalscorer with 79 goals in 128 appearances, had been sidelined due to injuries and poor form, which led to his exclusion from the national team. He suffered a knee injury during a World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay in 2023.

Despite concerns about his fitness, Neymar rejoined his boyhood club Santos in January after a challenging stint in Saudi Arabia. Brazil aims to secure a record sixth World Cup title, opening their campaign against Morocco on June 13.

The squad includes notable players such as Alisson, Ederson, and Vinicius Junior, among others.
