Neymar Excluded from Brazil Squad for World Cup Warm-ups

Neymar has been left out of Brazil's squad for upcoming World Cup warm-up matches, as announced by coach Carlo Ancelotti on Monday. The five-time world champions are preparing for the 2026 World Cup, with friendly matches scheduled against France on March 26 in Boston and Croatia on March 31 in Orlando.

Neymar's absence follows a recent muscle fatigue issue that caused him to miss a game with Santo FC. Ancelotti plans to assess players during a scouting trip before finalizing the squad.

Neymar, Brazil's all-time leading scorer with 79 goals, has struggled with injuries, including a serious knee injury in October 2023, affecting his match consistency. Ancelotti stated that Neymar is not at 100% fitness and is focusing on training.

Additionally, 19-year-old Endrick has been called up for international action for the first time in nearly a year, alongside Brentford's Igor Thiago, as Brazil looks to refresh its attacking options ahead of the World Cup campaign starting against Morocco on June 13.
