Nigerian Lawmakers Probe NFF Over Alleged $25m Grant Mismanagement

The Nigerian House of Representatives has launched a special investigation into the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) leadership over the alleged mismanagement of $25 million FIFA and CAF grants. Lawmakers cited gross financial mismanagement, lack of infrastructure investment despite substantial funds, and substandard facilities.

The Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, ordered an independent audit following audit queries raised by FIFA in 2016. The investigation aims to address financial recklessness within the NFF and prevent further abuse of football funds.
