NGO Empowers 293 Youths With Skills and Grants in Borno, Adamawa to Tackle Unemployment

Plan International Nigeria, in collaboration with Hope Rural Aid Foundation and support from the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), empowered 293 youths in Borno and Adamawa states with skills training and cash grants. The initiative aims to address the high youth unemployment rate in conflict-affected areas, particularly in the Northeast region of Nigeria.

The program includes establishing livelihood incubation centers to promote gender inclusivity and self-reliance among vulnerable youths through skill development and entrepreneurship training.
