NGX Launches Digital Initiative to Boost Investor Education

The Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) has intensified its investor education drive through a digital retail engagement initiative designed to improve financial literacy and deepen retail participation in the Nigerian capital market. Recently, NGX hosted a session themed "Follow the Fundamentals," which attracted 5,000 users, primarily young Nigerians who are first-time investors.

The initiative aims to help participants better understand investment opportunities in the capital market, featuring social media investment influencers such as Omiet Inko Tariah. Clifford Akpolo, the head of group communications and partnerships at NGX, emphasized the importance of financial literacy as a strategic imperative to strengthen investor confidence, improve market access, and expand long-term wealth creation opportunities in Nigeria.

The sessions are intended to demystify key concepts around market operations and ensure safe participation for investors.
