The Nigerian Exchange All-Share Index closed the week at 252,120.48, trading within a range of 249,309.59 to 252,155.05. Market breadth was positive, with 55 stocks advancing against 30 declining across 171 equities tracked.

The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) All-Share Index (ASI) ended the trading week of September 21 to 25, 2026 at 252,120.48, after ranging between an intraday low of 249,309.59 and a weekly high of 252,155.05. Of the 171 equities tracked during the week, 55 advanced, 30 declined, and 86 remained unchanged. Cumulative weekly value traded across the equities market stood at ₦200,821,684,704.60.

CMFC topped the list of weekly gainers, opening at ₦2.24 and closing at ₦2.97, representing a net gain of 32.59% over the five-session period. OMATEK followed, rising from ₦1.25 to ₦1.54, a gain of 23.20%. NAHCO recorded the third-largest advance, moving from ₦130.00 to ₦152.00 — a weekly gain of 16.92%. UPDC added 14.29%, closing at ₦3.60 against an opening price of ₦3.15, while THOMASWY rounded out the top five gainers with a 13.83% rise, from ₦2.53 to ₦2.88.

On the losing side, MBENEFIT shed the most ground during the week, declining 13.23% from ₦3.78 to ₦3.28. CHAMPION fell from ₦10.95 to ₦9.70, a drop of 11.42%. MULTIVERSE declined 9.86%, closing at ₦19.20 against an opening of ₦21.30. UPL shed 9.00%, moving from ₦5.00 to ₦4.55, and WAPIC closed at ₦2.20 from an opening of ₦2.38, a loss of 7.56%.

The week's breadth ratio — 55 advancers to 30 decliners — reflected a market where advancing issues outnumbered declining ones by nearly two to one. Unchanged stocks, at 86, accounted for the largest single cohort among the 171 equities monitored.
