Nigeria Prioritizes Public-Private Partnerships for Agrifood System Transformation in Sahel

Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari, advocates for robust public-private collaborations to revolutionize agrifood systems in the Sahel region. During a high-level panel discussion in Rome, Kyari highlighted Nigeria's ongoing agricultural reforms, including the National Agrifood System Investment Plan (NASIP) and the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ).

The government aims to reduce post-harvest losses and improve food security through strategic partnerships with organizations like FAO, IFAD, and the African Development Bank. Kyari also mentioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's commitment to creating an enabling environment for investors and farmers.
