VP Shettima Stresses National Interest Over Union Disputes at NES31

Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized Nigeria's importance over trade union interests at the Nigerian Economic Summit NES31. Shettima highlighted the need to protect the $20 billion Dangote Refinery investment to boost the economy.

He urged unity between labor unions and the private sector for national progress, amidst the PENGASSAN industrial dispute over the refinery's production capacity. Shettima praised Aliko Dangote's contributions to Nigeria's economy and called for patriotism in safeguarding investments.

He stressed that Nigeria's interests supersede any single union group. The VP's remarks aimed to promote a conducive environment for economic growth and discourage actions that could hinder national development.
