Nigeria vs. Egypt Pre-AFCON Friendly Moved to Dec 16, 2025

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the rescheduling of the pre-AFCON friendly match between Nigeria and Egypt to December 16, 2025, instead of the initially planned date of December 14. This change was necessitated by FIFA's recent decision to allow clubs to hold players until December 15.

The match will take place at Cairo Stadium, with both teams allowed to use five substitutes. The Super Eagles are in Group C for the 35th Africa Cup of Nations alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.

The tournament will kick off on December 23, with Nigeria facing Tanzania in their first match at the Taifa Star Complex Sportif de Fe.
