Nigeria to Boost Automotive Sector at Abidjan Expo 2026

Nigeria's automotive industry is poised to significantly contribute to the development of a more integrated West African vehicle production and mobility market, as stakeholders prepare for the EQUIP AUTO Côte d’Ivoire exhibition scheduled for November 26-28, 2026, in Abidjan. This inaugural event will gather vehicle manufacturers, equipment suppliers, distributors, and mobility solution providers, creating opportunities for Nigerian businesses to forge partnerships and expand their reach in regional markets.

The exhibition aims to address the growing demand for vehicles, spare parts, and mobility solutions, with an expected participation of about 150 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors. Nigeria's large vehicle market and existing manufacturing capacity position it as a crucial participant.

The event will cover various automotive segments, including electric mobility, and facilitate discussions on sustainable transportation and investment opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which could enhance regional automotive value chains.
