Bassey: Nigeria Should Have Defeated Poland in Friendly

Calvin Bassey, a defender for the Super Eagles, stated that Nigeria should have secured a win against Poland during their international friendly match on Wednesday, which ended in a 2-2 draw. Bassey pointed out that two late goals from Poland were pivotal in denying Nigeria a victory.

The match, held in Warsaw, saw Terem Moffi give Nigeria the lead, followed by Kacper Potulski equalizing late in the first half. Paul Onuachu then restored Nigeria's lead in the second half, but Przemysław Wiśniewski's stoppage-time strike ensured the draw for Poland.

Bassey mentioned that several players had joined the camp late, which may have affected the team's performance, indicating that there were differences in arrival times for some players.
