Nigeria and UAE Sign Trade Agreement for Tariff-Free Goods and Services

Nigeria and the UAE have signed a CEPA to eliminate tariffs on thousands of products and open access to over 100 service sectors. The agreement aims to reshape Nigeria's trade architecture and expand its global market reach.

It includes reciprocal tariff elimination, with Nigeria committing to immediately eliminate tariffs on a significant number of products. The CEPA aligns with Nigeria's obligations to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and complements its commitments to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), showcasing Nigeria's efforts to boost exports, attract investments, and integrate into global value chains.
