Tinubu: Nigeria Will Not Surrender to Terrorists

On Monday night, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu asserted that Nigeria will never surrender to terrorists during an interfaith gathering at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The event brought together religious leaders from both Christian and Muslim communities, alongside traditional rulers from across the country.

Tinubu acknowledged the serious security challenges Nigeria currently faces, stating that the government remains resolute in protecting the country's sovereignty and preventing criminal elements from destabilizing Nigeria. He commended religious leaders for their role in fostering unity and promoting peace during difficult times.

In addition to security issues, Tinubu addressed the economy, assuring Nigerians that the reforms undertaken by his administration are beginning to yield positive results. He highlighted the government's efforts to stabilize public finances and improve revenue allocation to state governments.

The gathering was described by Yahaya Abubakar, representing the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, as a strong symbol of unity, while Daniel Okoh from the Christian Association of Nigeria assured the government of the Christian community's support in strengthening the nation's economy and improving security.
