Tinubu Promises Peace and Prosperity Ahead of 2027 Elections

During the 66th Independence Anniversary Interdenominational Church Service held in Abuja, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, through the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, assured Nigerians of his administration's commitment to leaving behind a peaceful, united, and prosperous country. Tinubu, who is seeking re-election in 2027, urged citizens to remain hopeful and engaged in nation-building, emphasizing that challenges can be overcome through collective prayers, unity, and responsible citizenship.

He stressed the importance of the upcoming 2027 general elections, advocating for free assessments of candidates based on their ideas and character. Tinubu called for the rejection of hatred and division, highlighting that national interests should take precedence over partisan differences.

He noted ongoing economic reforms, including a reported 4.73 percent growth in the economy in the second quarter of 2026, and called for prayers for peace and integrity surrounding the elections.
