Tinubu Affirms Nigeria's Resolve Against Terrorism

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria's unwavering commitment to tackling terrorism and banditry during a church service held at the National Christian Centre in Abuja on Sunday. The message was delivered by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, as part of activities marking the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.

Akume stated that the government is fully aware of the economic challenges faced by Nigerians and is intensifying efforts to alleviate these hardships while delivering democratic dividends. He assured citizens that the administration remains committed to implementing policies aimed at improving living conditions across the country.

Akume also noted that security agencies have received the necessary support to confront threats and restore peace in affected areas. He declared that Nigeria will not succumb to terrorism or banditry, reflecting on the nation's 27 years of uninterrupted democratic governance since 1999 and paying tribute to those who fought for democracy.
