Nigerian Army Graduates 3,000 New Recruits in Ebonyi

The Nigerian Army has recently graduated 3,000 new recruits from its training depot located in Amasiri, Edda, Ebonyi State. This graduation ceremony was addressed by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, who emphasized the importance of this intake in bolstering the Army's operational capacity to address emerging security challenges across Nigeria.

The new recruits are part of a sustained recruitment program aimed at enhancing the Army's manpower development and training infrastructure. Lieutenant General Shaibu urged the recruits to uphold discipline, professionalism, and loyalty to the nation.

The establishment of the depot in Amasiri is viewed as a strategic milestone in the Army's transformation agenda, aimed at strengthening military training infrastructure and broadening combat-ready personnel across the country. Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru described the depot as a national asset that would enhance security and stimulate economic activity in the surrounding communities.
