Nigerian Breweries Plc has filed its unaudited and provisional results for the first quarter ended 31st March 2026. The filing discloses group revenue of ₦413bn, a profit after tax of ₦55.9bn, and earnings per share of 180 kobo.

Nigerian Breweries Plc released its unaudited Q1 2026 financial results, covering the three months ended 31st March 2026. Group revenue came in at ₦413.016bn, compared to ₦383.635bn in Q1 2025, reflecting a 7.7% year-on-year increase. The company attributed the revenue growth to revenue management initiatives and the performance of its premium brands, including Heineken lager.

Gross profit grew by 8% to ₦179.851bn, from ₦166.567bn in the prior year period. Selling, distribution and administrative expenses rose 13.8% to ₦93.413bn. Net finance expenses declined significantly by 54.5% to ₦6.951bn, down from ₦15.275bn in Q1 2025. Profit before tax reached ₦80.411bn, up 14.9%, while profit after tax stood at ₦55.945bn, a 25.6% increase from ₦44.553bn recorded in Q1 2025.

Basic earnings per share came in at 180 kobo, compared to 143 kobo in Q1 2025. The company also disclosed that stronger cash generation supported the settlement of outstanding borrowings during the period. The board noted that the Middle East crisis has introduced additional operating risk, and that the company has implemented risk mitigation measures across key exposures.
