Nigerian Breweries Posts N85.5 Billion Profit Despite Q3 Setback

Nigerian Breweries, a leading brewer in Nigeria, recorded a profit of N85.5 billion in the first nine months of 2025, despite a setback of N2.9 billion in the third quarter. The company attributed the Q3 loss to impair charges and post-acquisition fair value adjustments.

Nigerian Breweries' strong operational profit was supported by lower net finance costs. The company's gross profit surged by 97.8% to N415.15 billion, driven by price resilience and gradual volume recovery.

However, rising input costs, logistics expenses, and operational expenses impacted the cost of sales, which rose by 26%. EBIT and EBITDA margins improved, reflecting better operational efficiency and cost management.
