Nigerian British University 2026/2027 Fees: Medicine Tops at ₦2.7M

Nigerian British University has unveiled its tuition schedule for the 2026/2027 academic year, with Medicine and Surgery commanding the highest fee at ₦2,743,000 per session. The university's professional programmes carry significantly higher costs than technical courses, according to the institution's official admissions portal.

Among the university's faculty offerings, Nursing students will pay ₦1,270,037, while Law programme fees stand at ₦1,218,037. The Computing and Information Technology programme is priced at ₦951,540, making it more expensive than the Engineering option at ₦750,000.

This represents a difference of roughly ₦201,540 between the two technology-focused courses. The fee structure reflects a common pattern in Nigerian private universities, where medical and legal education carries premium pricing.

The gap between the most affordable and most costly programmes at NBU spans nearly ₦2 million, placing significant financial demand on families considering enrolment in high-demand disciplines. Separately, Nile University has also announced its 2026/2027 fees, revealing three programmes exceeding ₦2 million per semester.

Nile's Medicine and Surgery charges ₦3,575,000 per semester, Law costs ₦2,275,000, and Public Health is set at ₦2,000,000. This indicates considerable variation in pricing between the two institutions for comparable programmes.
