Nigerian Firm Wins 2025 JA Africa Award for Innovative Drone Technology in Agriculture

Smartgenix Aeromonitor Ltd, representing Nigeria's Darul Noor Intercontinent School, has been crowned the 2025 Africa Company of the Year by JA Africa. The team secured the Public Choice Award and a cash prize of $3,000.

The Nigerian firm impressed judges with their drone technology tailored for agriculture, reducing costs, saving time, and supporting sustainable climate action. The winning team comprises secondary school students who are redefining youth-led innovation in Africa.

This victory highlights the potential of Nigerian youth in global entrepreneurship and the importance of mentorship opportunities. The program aims to empower young people aged 5-35 in financial literacy, work readiness, entrepreneurship, and digital skills.
