Nigerian Govt Steps In to Mediate Dangote Refinery, PENGASSAN Dispute

The Nigerian government has intervened in the conflict between Dangote Refinery and PENGASSAN, urging dialogue to prevent a strike that could disrupt the country's energy supply. The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) mediated the dispute, following PENGASSAN's threat of an immediate strike over worker layoffs.

Dangote Refinery labeled the union's actions as economic sabotage and called for government intervention. The government's call for dialogue aims to resolve the issues peacefully and ensure stability in the energy sector.
