Tinubu Condoles Tanzanian President Over Husband's Death

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria conveyed his condolences to Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan following the death of her husband, Hafidh Ameir Hassan. He expressed deep sadness upon receiving the news, referring to President Samia as a dear sister and colleague. Tinubu recognized the significant impact of the loss on President Samia and her family, noting that Hassan had been her lifelong companion for nearly five decades and had supported her throughout her public service.

He stated that the Tanzanian President had lost a lifelong companion, her children a beloved father, and the Hassan family a pillar. On behalf of Nigeria's government and its people, as well as his family, Tinubu extended condolences to President Samia, her children, the Hassan family, and the people of Tanzania, praying for Hafidh Ameir Hassan's eternal rest and for strength for the family.
