Nigerian Senators Demand Reversal of Airfare Hike as Ticket Prices Hit N700,000

Nigerian senators have called for the immediate suspension of the recent domestic airfare hikes, with ticket prices reaching up to N700,000. During a plenary session, senators summoned the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, to explain the reasons behind the price surge.

Senators highlighted the exorbitant costs, with examples of air tickets from Abuja to various destinations like Enugu and Lagos ranging from N460,000 to N700,000. The senators emphasized the challenges faced by Nigerians, especially during the festive season, due to the high cost of air travel.
