Operation HADIN KAI Arrests Boko Haram Suspects in Yobe
Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, arrested four suspected Boko Haram terrorists following a night ambush in Yobe State on 21 September 2026. The operation took place east of Azare Village in Gujba Local Government Area around 23:00.
During the ambush, troops engaged suspected terrorists, leading to the arrest of four individuals and the recovery of four bicycles, groceries, one sheep, and expended 7.62mm Special ammunition cases. Additionally, between 15 and 22 September, 11 terrorists surrendered, and nine suspected drug dealers were arrested during a routine patrol in Buni Yadi on 19 September.
The drug dealers were found with illicit drugs, cannabis, two mobile phones, and ₦85,900. The suspects and recovered items were handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for further investigation.
Capt. Mohammed Goni stated that the Joint Task Force remains committed to combating terrorism and criminal networks in the North East.
