Nigerians Celebrate Chuseok Festival with Traditional South Korean Dishes

The Korea Culture Center Nigeria (KCCN) introduced Nigerians to South Korean culture through the Chuseok festival, showcasing traditional dishes like Songpyeon (rice cake), Sanjeok (skewered meat and vegetables), and Yukjeon (pan-fried Korean beef slices). Chuseok, South Korea's mid-autumn harvest festival, is a time to express gratitude for the harvest, pay respects to ancestors, and enjoy traditional feasts.

The event in Nigeria included cultural activities like ancestral memorial services, traditional attire dances, and wishing under the full moon. Yujin Lee, the event manager, highlighted the cultural exchange and the promotion of Korean cuisine in Nigeria.
