Nigerians Rejoice As Petrol Price Drops Below Ghana, Other West African Nations

Nigerians are celebrating as the price of petrol has dropped below that of Ghana and other West African nations. The Major Energies Marketers Association (MEMAN) reported that the average price of petrol in Nigeria is now N870 per litre, down from N890.

This makes petrol in Nigeria significantly cheaper than in countries like Senegal and Cameroon, where prices are around N1,000 per litre. The report also highlighted that Nigeria currently has the cheapest petrol in West Africa, with prices less than half of what is paid in Ghana.

This news comes as a relief to Nigerians, who have been facing increased petrol prices due to global oil rally and geopolitical tensions. The drop in petrol prices is seen as a positive development for the country, which is home to the 7th largest petroleum refinery in Africa.
