Nigeria U-17 Women’s Team Prepares for World Cup Camp

Hakeem Busari, the head coach of Nigeria's U-17 women’s national team, has summoned 26 players to commence preparations for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in Morocco from October 17 to November 7. The Flamingos secured their spot in the tournament by defeating the Benin Republic in both home and away matches during the final round of the African qualifiers.

The invited players are required to report to the Serob Legacy Hotel in Wuye, Abuja, on Sunday, August 30, for the first phase of their training camp. This camp is crucial for Busari and his technical staff to assess the players and finalize the squad for the upcoming tournament.

Nigeria has consistently participated in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup since its inception in 2008, with the exception of the 2018 edition held in Uruguay. The list of players includes goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards from various clubs across Nigeria.
