Adebayo Critiques Tinubu's Security Response in Nigeria

Adewale Adebayo, a chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has been conducting condolence visits to communities in Nigeria that have suffered from violence, including a recent deadly attack in the Angwa Rukuba community of Plateau State. During these visits, Adebayo listens to residents recount their ordeals and offers financial support, emphasizing that leadership should be about physically standing with the people during their darkest hours.

He has openly criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for failing to ensure the security of citizens, arguing that the government's response to insecurity has been inadequate. Adebayo's visits also included stops in Oyo and Ekiti States, where he condemned attacks on worshippers and reiterated that Nigerians should not live in constant fear.

He insists that the government's failure to protect lives and property is a moral test of leadership. Adebayo's approach contrasts with what he perceives as the ceremonial nature of official condolences from the presidency.
