Nigeria's non-oil revenue has surged by 40.5% to N20.59 trillion in the first eight months of 2025, marking a significant economic reform success. The Presidency highlighted that the country is experiencing its strongest fiscal performance in a decade, with a notable shift towards non-oil revenue sources.

From January to August 2025, the government's total revenue collection reached N20.59 trillion, a substantial increase from the previous year. This shift signifies a break from the country's historical dependence on crude oil exports, with reforms and digitization playing a crucial role in driving a more resilient economy.

President Bola Tinubu emphasized the positive impact of bold economic reforms aimed at restoring Nigeria's financial stability and reducing reliance on oil revenue.
