Nigerian Table Tennis Player Olufunke Oshonaike Joins IOC Athletes' Commission

Olufunke Oshonaike, a Nigerian table tennis player, has been appointed to the IOC Athletes' Commission, joining four other new members from different countries. The commission aims to reach full representation ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina.

Oshonaike, who has competed in seven consecutive Olympic Games, currently serves on the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation and the Nigeria National Olympic Committee Athletes' Commission. The commission comprises 23 members, with 12 elected directly by athletes during the Games.

Oshonaike expressed her excitement and commitment to representing Nigeria and Africa on the global stage.
