Nigerian Vehicle Component Manufacturers to Boost Local Supply for Assemblers by 2026

Nigerian vehicle components manufacturers, led by Anselm Ilekuba of ACMAN, are strategizing to provide steady local supply to vehicle assemblers to strengthen the automotive sector. The plan involves a partnership with NADDC to develop a digital platform where assemblers can access and source components locally.

By 2026, the platform is expected to be operational, reducing the need for imported parts. The initiative aims to increase Nigeria's share of auto component manufacturing in Africa, with support from international donors and partnerships with India and South Africa.
