NNPC Plans to Rebuild 3 Refineries by 2026 in Partnership with Technical Experts

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has revealed its strategy to revamp the Warri and Kaduna refineries by 2026 in collaboration with selected technical partners. Despite previous unsuccessful rehabilitation efforts, NNPC aims to restore the refineries to global standards, with the Port Harcourt refinery already undergoing upgrades.

The partnership with Daewoo Engineering will facilitate major reconfigurations to handle a wider range of crude oil. NNPC seeks to attract private sector expertise to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness in the oil and gas sector.
