NNPC Cuts Petrol Prices in Lagos to N815 per Liter

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has announced a reduction in petrol prices at its filling stations in Lagos, decreasing the price by N25 to N815 per liter. This adjustment aims to alleviate the financial burden on motorists amid fluctuating fuel costs.

Market surveys conducted across various retail outlets in Lagos confirmed this new pricing, with some areas still reflecting a price of N840 per liter. The price change comes in the wake of Dangote Refinery's decision to slash its ex-depot price by N25 to N799 per liter, which is expected to influence the market positively.

The new rates took immediate effect following a notice issued by the Commercial Operations Department of Dangote Petroleum Refinery. The refinery has reached its full design capacity, marking a significant milestone in its operations.

Additionally, the refinery has identified individuals allegedly undermining its operations through false claims of petrol imports and plans to pursue legal action against them.
