Aston Villa Beats Nottingham 4-0, Aina and Awoniyi Out

Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi's hopes of playing in the Europa League final were dashed as Aston Villa triumphed over Nottingham Forest with a 4-0 victory in the second leg of their semi-final match. This result allowed Villa to cancel out Forest's 1-0 advantage from the first leg.

The match, held at Villa Park, featured a goal from Olli Watkins in the 36th minute, followed by a brace from Emi Buendia and another goal from John McGinn, sealing the aggregate score at 4-1 in favor of Aston Villa. Aina was absent from the match due to an injury sustained during the first leg at City Ground.

Awoniyi had previously scored a brace in Nottingham Forest's 3-1 win against Chelsea, but it was not enough to convince coach Viktor Pereira to include him in the squad for the crucial clash. Aston Villa will now face Freiburg in the Europa League final on May 20 at Besiktas Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.
