INEC Denies Anambra Vote-Buying; EFCC Arrests Suspects

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) refutes claims of vote-buying during the Anambra state governorship election, dismissing the allegations as baseless. However, allegations of voter inducement were made by various candidates, including Chioma Ifemeludik.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended individuals suspected of vote-buying, such as Emeka Ilokasia and others in different locations. INEC emphasized that no verifiable reports of inducement were received during the electoral process, maintaining that the election was generally smooth with high voter turnout.
