Tinubu Launches Naira Card for Global Transactions

On Saturday, during the 9th annual Ramadan lecture organized by the Ashraaf Islam Foundation in Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the launch of a Nigerian Naira card that will facilitate international transactions without the need for foreign currencies such as the dollar, euro, or pound. This initiative reflects the government's efforts to boost confidence in the Nigerian currency and reduce the country's heavy dependence on foreign currencies for international transactions.

Tinubu highlighted that recent economic reforms have begun to yield positive results, with a noted decline in food inflation and improvements in the stability of the Naira. He acknowledged that while these reforms have introduced hardships initially, they are necessary to correct long-standing economic issues.

The President reassured Nigerians of the government's commitment to combating terrorism and banditry, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective efforts to restore peace and stability in the nation.
