FIFA Unveils TSG for 2026 World Cup Without Nigeria

FIFA has announced the formation of a 10-member Technical Study Group (TSG) for the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico. This marks the first time that no Nigerian coach is included in the group, which aims to provide cutting-edge analysis and enhance the understanding of the game globally.

Notable members of the TSG include Arséne Wenger, Otto Addo, Tobin Heath, Jürgen Klinsmann, and others. The Super Eagles of Nigeria, who previously participated in the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, failed to qualify for the 2026 tournament.

Emmanuel Amuneke and Sunday Oliseh, former Nigerian internationals, have previously contributed to World Cup analysis, but Oliseh's recent selection among experts did not extend to the TSG. The group will analyze 104 matches and utilize advanced metrics to enhance coverage and insights during the tournament.
