Falz Criticizes Nigerian Government Over Kwara Killings Amidst Security Crisis

Nigerian rapper and activist Falz has criticized the Nigerian government's handling of the deadly attacks in Kwara State. Gunmen attacked Woro Nuku village in Kaiama Local Government Area on February 3, 2026, leaving at least 162 people dead.

Falz expressed outrage over the lack of arrests and prosecutions in response to the mass killings, questioning the government's focus on politics and elections amidst the security crisis. The attack, believed to be linked to Boko Haram and the Islamic State-backed Lakurawa group, led to widespread shock and condemnation.

President Bola Tinubu deployed an army battalion to Kwara State under Operation Savannah Shield but faced criticism for inadequate action. Falz accused political parties of prioritizing campaign plans over addressing security concerns, urging religious leaders to speak out against national issues.

He also criticized the Senate's rejection of real-time electronic transmission of election results. Falz emphasized the need for tangible actions, not just prayers, to address Nigeria's security challenges.
