Kano Lawmakers Deny Defection Rumors, Pledge Allegiance to NNPP and Kwankwasiya Movement

Thirteen lawmakers from Kano State, led by Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, held a press conference in Abuja to debunk reports of planning to defect from the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). They emphasized their loyalty to NNPP and the Kwankwasiya ideology, dismissing the rumors as baseless and mischievous.

The lawmakers clarified that their interactions with other political parties do not signify betrayal but rather a commitment to serving the people of Kano State. The NNPP has faced increasing political realignment, but the Kwankwasiya caucus remains intact and unwavering.
