The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has refuted claims of a terrorist group operating in Iwo, emphasizing the town's peaceful nature and strong security network. The report alleged that Jama'atu Ta'awunil Muslimeen, a religious group based in Iwo, was involved in terrorist activities, which the monarch dismissed as false and unfounded.

The group's leadership, including Sheik Dahood Imran Molaasan, was highlighted for their contributions to education and philanthropy. The Oluwo reiterated that no terrorists have entered Iwo, and the town remains peaceful under his leadership.
