Northern Leaders to Host Human Capital Summit in Abuja

The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF) and the Northern Nigeria Governors Forum (NNGF) are organizing a human capital development summit in Abuja, scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2026. Abubakar Gambo Umar, the Director General of SABMF, announced the summit will serve as a decisive platform to confront human capital challenges and unlock the potential of Northern Nigeria's youth population.

The event aims to attract investments in education, healthcare, skill acquisition, and entrepreneurship. It aligns with the foundation's vision of human development and is expected to feature dignitaries including the Vice President of Nigeria as the special guest of honor, governors from 19 northern states, and various stakeholders from academia, civil society, and the private sector.

The summit will focus on improving access to quality education, enhancing healthcare delivery, addressing youth unemployment, and promoting technological innovation through public-private partnerships.
