Norway's Solbakken Denies Manchester City Media Claims

Ståle Solbakken, the manager of the Norway national football team, has refuted allegations that Manchester City directed him to restrict Erling Haaland's media interactions concerning the club's financial breach case while Haaland was on international duty. Reports suggested that Manchester City officials sought to limit Haaland's exposure to journalists regarding the allegations against the Premier League club.

However, in an interview with TribalFootball, Solbakken clarified that he had not communicated with Manchester City about media matters since Haaland's transfer from Borussia Dortmund to City. He stated, “It’s a lie.

It also undermines my integrity,” emphasizing that the decision to exempt Haaland from certain media duties was entirely his own and made without consulting the player.
