NPFL Officials Receive Long-Awaited Payments Ahead of Season Restart

Nigerian NPFL officials have received long-awaited payments for handling games ahead of the 2025-2026 season restart. The payments, which had been delayed, were confirmed to cover indemnities for the referees and match officials.

The league had faced concerns over the delayed payments, but assurances were given that all outstanding payments would be settled before the league resumed. The officials, who had been waiting for weeks, finally received their payments, with amounts ranging from 60,000 to 90,000 Naira, excluding other benefits.

The NPFL has also approved a 30% increase in indemnities for match officials, along with increased prize money for the league champions and participating clubs.
