His first goal came from a curled shot beyond the goalkeeper after receiving a split pass from Albert Korvah, and he repeated the feat two minutes later, slotting the ball into the net from a pass by Victor Mbaoma. This win marked Remo Stars' first victory in eight attempts, moving them to 18th place in the league with 30 points from 28 matches, just three points away from safety.

Meanwhile, Rangers climbed to the top of the table following a 2-0 win against Nasarawa United. Other matches included Bayelsa United's 1-0 win over Rivers United and Ikorodu City's 4-0 victory against Bendel Insurance.
