Rivers United and Enugu Rangers Face Key Matches in NPFL

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) is set for a critical Matchday 8, with Rivers United, the only unbeaten team, visiting Abia Warriors at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba. Rivers United is currently second, just one point behind league leaders Enugu Rangers, who will face Barau FC in Kano.

Abia Warriors' coach Imama Amapakabo has called for his team to secure a win to narrow the gap at the top. Enugu Rangers, sitting on 16 points after a 3-1 victory over Abia Warriors, aim to maintain their lead ahead of a CAF Champions League match against MC Alger.

Meanwhile, Kano Pillars, who recently extended their unbeaten streak to seven matches, will play Plateau United, who are looking to bounce back from a defeat. Other matches include Ranchers Bees against Niger Tornadoes, Ikorodu City hosting Kwara United, and Shooting Stars facing Kun Khalifat FC, with pressure mounting on Shooting Stars' technical adviser Salisu Yusuf.
