Modibbo Adama University Honors NSA and Governors with Honorary Doctorates

The Modibbo Adama University (MAU) in Yola honored the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, and former Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State with honorary doctorates during its 29th and 30th convocation ceremony. The ceremony also recognized the contributions of these individuals to the development of Nigeria.

The convocation saw a total of 7,029 regular graduates from the academic sessions of 2023, 2024, and 2025 receiving undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibrahim Umar, highlighted the university's role in the intellectual and moral development of Nigerian youth since its establishment in 1981.

Additionally, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri attended the convocation and announced plans to construct a five-kilometer internal road network within the university campus as part of the state government's commitment to improving infrastructure in tertiary institutions across the state.
