NUPRC Chief Komolafe to Address Pan-African Parliament on Sustainable Oil Regulation

NUPRC Chief Komolafe has been invited to address the Pan-African Parliament on sustainable oil and gas regulation, highlighting Nigeria's leadership in the industry. The two-week session aims to bring together lawmakers, policymakers, and experts from across Africa to deliberate on governing sustainable transit frameworks in line with the African Union's Agenda 2063.

Komolafe's presentation will focus on sound legislative models to foster transparency and community inclusivity in Africa's extractive industries, drawing lessons from Nigeria's Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). The PIA has led to increased crude oil output and reduced gas flaring, enhancing fiscal terms and investor confidence in the region.

Komolafe's contribution is expected to support the Parliament's efforts to align national energy policies with the AU's long-term agenda.
